Whacking my way through this book … here’s a sneak peek at a rough excerpt…

there were these things I wanted. It was a constant nagging, aching feeling. I wanted to create something of my own SO badly. I wanted maximum health and happiness. I wanted freedom. Who the hell DOESN’T want that stuff?

What I wanted was a beautiful, bold, and juicy life. It was so deep of a desire that I chose this as my brand name. Why? Simply, because life is too short to live any other way.

It was at this point when the real, good shit began. The exquisite and juicy work. The breakthrough that led to a transformation. As I continued to explore my truths, and gave myself permission to do what I truly wanted – the possibilities were endless. With the guidance and support of a dear friend & coach I broke away from the “HOW” and focused on the “WHY.”

Let’s pause for a moment here though and explore this idea of giving yourself permission. It’s easy to undermine and breeze by this concept. I’m sure some of you may be saying why would a grown ass woman need to give herself permission to do what she wants? Well in today’s day in age and in our culture there is a stigma attached to doing what you want. You know how the inner monologue goes, “I don’t have the money, nor the time to do what I want.” Wow, how can she be so selfish? Doesn’t she feel guilty? Must be nice!” Oh the judgement. Oh the critics. Both the internal and external gremlins just BS’ing their way through your head. Sometimes we care so much what other people think. Well let that shit go.

Who do YOU want to be? What kind of life do YOU want? What is holding you back? Perhaps you have never stopped to ask yourself. I know I hadn’t. Here’s the cool thing though. Once you take that first baby step to stop and ask, you’re on your way my friend. You can have what you want. What you deserve! Sure it’s going to take some blood, sweat, and tears but so does pretending to be someone you are not. You want to run a 5K? Lose weight? Be more connected with your husband? Get out of debt? Start a business? It all begins with having the courage to start, followed by the desire.

Earlier in my life I did a lot of running and also did some triathlons. I can’t count how many times people have said to me, “Oh I could never run a marathon or do an Ironman.” Sure you can; but you have to want to do it. Not everyone wants to do those things. Go ahead and push your self limiting beliefs aside. You’ll see that the possibilities are endless. But just like a baby learning to walk, you will fall. You will fall again. And again and again. This is how we learn. But you know what? Life is about the “get to’s.” Not the “how to’s.” You get to pick yourself  up and try again. We get so hung up on how we are going to accomplish the things we want most of us never leave the start line. When I was a little girl I would watch the Hawaii Ironman triathlon on TV. I was so inspired to see both the men & women pushing themselves beyond their edge to complete the 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike, and 26.2 mile marathon. I told myself I would do this someday. So I did. I signed up for Ironman Florida and had a life altering experience. Hence the motivation to complete 3 more Ironman’s. My point is this though. When I sat down to register myself for my first race I was not thinking, “How am I going to do this?” I was thinking, “I can’t believe I get to do this. This is going to be awesome.” I had no fear. It’s fear that causes us to get stuck. That paralyzes us from creating what we want.

So get off the startling line my friends.

Dare yourself to keep moving forward.

Go live life.
